Guidelines
1. All food items to be sold must be pre-packaged and/or prepared in a commercial kitchen. The sale of home cooked or baked items is prohibited.

2. All hot foods sold or served will be monitored by trained and licensed Brainerd Public Schools employees.

3. All equipment and facilities used to sell food must comply with the Minnesota Department of Health Codes, laws, rules and regulations.

Options for Providing Concessions
Users of a Brainerd Public Schools facility intending to provide concessions may choose from the following options:

1. User may elect to not provide concessions. At the user’s request, vending machines can be made available. User will not be allowed to sell food or beverage of any kind.

2. User may elect to have trained and licensed Brainerd Public Schools employees provide concessions. The fees for this are listed in Policy 902 Exhibit A. Any additional expenses and revenues generated by the sale of concessions will be the district’s responsibility.

3. User may elect to jointly provide concessions with the assistance of trained and licensed Brainerd Public Schools employees. The fees for this are listed in Policy 902 Appendix A. Any additional expenses and revenues generated by the sale of items routinely sold through district concessions will be the district’s responsibility. Any expenses and revenues generated by the sale of additional items by the user will be the user’s responsibility. Brainerd Public Schools staff will be responsible for developing procedures regarding what food users can sell or serve under applicable rules, regulations and laws and the manner in which such food may be sold or served.

4. Users requesting banquet services, provided by the district or an outside vendor, must contact the Brainerd Public Schools Food Service Director at 218-454-6939.
